Orders for delivery to European Union (EU) member states
- VAT is applicable to all orders to European Union (EU) member states and will be charged at the prevailing UK rate.

Orders for UK delivery
- VAT is applicable to all UK orders and will be included in the final cost. VAT will be charged at the prevailing UK rate.

** FOR ORDERS OVER 15KG IN WEIGHT OR EXCESSIVE CHARGES

If this is the case we will advise the Customer of the revised delivery charge. The Customer will then have the choice of accepting the new charge and receiving the order, revising the order, or cancelling the order at no charge.
In the majority of cases orders over 15kg weight will likely qualify for free delivery based on the value of the order.
Delivery Methods
The majority of our orders are delivered by TNT or UPS Worldwide and are trackable. The Customer will be supplied with the tracking details once the order has been despatched.
A signature will generally be required on delivery. The Customer should ensure someone is available to receive the package. The veterinary medicine partner(s) will not take responsibility for spoiled/lost goods resulting from failed delivery.
Order Processing and Delivery Timescales
Due to the nature of ordering pharmecuticals, especially online,
please allow up to a week to process the paperwork and manage the order. If you need your goods urgently please call us (+44 114 2450333) or place your order on a Pro-Forma and we will get back to you. The deliver times scales below are from dispatch following order processing.
Once the order has been processed the goods are delivered on the following timescales:
Delivery to the UK: 48 hours.
Delivery to Europe: up to 4 days.
Worldwide delivery: up to 6 days.
Mode of Delivery
The above prices are based on standard delivery. Where vaccines are ordered a temperature controlled "cool chain" service may be required. In most cases these additional costs are priced into the existing product delivery costs, however we reserve the right to apply additional delivery charges should 5M feel it is necessary to do so. Where this is the case 5M will advise the Customer of the revised delivery charge. The Customer will then have the choice of accepting the new charge and receiving the order, revising the order, or cancelling the order at no charge.
Packaging
Suitable packaging is used to safely and successfully deliver goods. Where a cool chain delivery service is required goods are packed in specific cool chain packing designed to ensure the correct temperature control for the maximum delivery duration.
DELIVERIES: Every effort will be made to supply orders promptly but neither 5M nor the
veterinary medicine partner(s) will accept responsibility for suspension or delay in deliveries or for the consequences thereof.
BREAKAGES: Goods should be signed for as 'unexamined' and any damage or shortages must be reported in writing by recorded delivery within three days of delivery both to the
veterinary medicine partner(s) and the carrier, otherwise no claim can be considered. The complete packaging should be retained if pilfering is suspected or if breakage has occurred. If pilfering is suspected, the
veterinary medicine partner(s) and the carrier should be notified immediately.
NON-DELIVERY: In the event of non-arrival of goods, customers must inform the
veterinary medicine partner(s) within 24 hours of the expected delivery date, otherwise no claim can be considered.
RETURNED GOODS: Goods are not supplied on a sale or return basis. Returns, which must be in original whole packs supplied directly by the
veterinary medicine partner(s), will be accepted only with the prior written permission of the
veterinary medicine partner(s). Under normal circumstances, such permission will only be given:
a) To correct an error in delivery or ordering.
b) Where products or packages are alleged to be faulty.
Items requiring temperature controlled storage, e.g. vaccines, will be accepted to correct a delivery error only. In this case, the goods must be returned not later than the next working day and must have been stored correctly whilst on the customer's premises. Goods will not be accepted for return if they have been damaged whilst on the customer's premises, relabelled in any way or if any tamper evident seals have been broken.
Credit for returned goods can be considered only if the following procedure is followed.
- Notify the veterinary medicine partner(s) in writing within three days of delivery, giving a full description of the goods and the justification for their return.

SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS: NON VETERINARY MEDICINE / ANIMAL HEALTH PURCHASES
This section covers specific terms that apply to orders made from all 5M Shops other than the Veterinary Medicines and Animal Health shops, whose specific T&C's are noted above, hearin known as the "5M Shops".
Delivery
This section explains how 5M and thier suppliers handle packing and delivery of orders from the on-line 5M Shops. 5M's aim is, where practical, to process all orders within 24 hours from receipt of payment. 5M and our suppliers deliver worldwide and 5M accepts payment in either £sterling, €euros or US Dollars.
Delivery charges
Each item has a range of delivery costs associated with it, depending on which region in the world the order is being shipped from/to. As items can be heavy and are often shipped directly from the publisher/supplier, the price you pay is the sum of the individual shipping costs for the order.
Method of delivery?
Books and small items posted to a UK address are sent by the standard Royal Mail postal service. Books and small items posted to non-UK addresses are generally sent Royal Mail (Printed papers for books). If a different service is desired please ask for options/prices. Large bulky items are mainly sent by a parcel delivery service such as DHL, UPS or Tuffnells.
Delivery timescales
5M's aim is, where practical, to process all orders within 24 hours from receipt of payment.
Orders may be fulfilled by 5M and/or a number of different suppliers. Upon completion of an order the Customer will receive an email confirming the order details. Each supplier will deliver their portion of the order. 5M aims to deliver products from its own stock within the following delivery time scales:
5 working days for UK delivery
8 working days for European delivery
15 working days for Worldwide delivery
However, the above time frames assume our carriers and any associated local carriers deliver within their own stated time frames. As their performance is beyond 5M's control, 5M are unable to guarantee these time scales will be met in every case, thus please allow 28 days for delivery.
If an order is urgent please contact us and we can provide a guaranteed delivery service at additional charge.
Out of stock items
Whilst every effort is made to ensure we do not offer for sale out of stock items, sometimes a supplier fails to alert us to this fact.
If an ordered item is not in stock, we will let the Customer know the expected delivery timescale and provide the option of waiting, changing or cancelling the order for a full refund.
Signature on delivery?
Items sent by Royal Mail (UK or abroad) use the standard mail service and as such do not need to be signed for. However, if at a Customer's request we have used a carrier, a signature may be needed, 5M will advise if this is the case. Large buly items sent by a parcel delivery service may need a signature. You will be advised accordingly.
Returns and Refunds
An order (or item from an order) may be cancelled at any time before the order is delivered and up to 7 working days following the day after the day the order is received. Notice of cancellation must be in writing by post, e-mail or fax (details at very top of page) giving full order details.
To obtain a refund of goods that have been despatched, the Customer must return the goods at their own expense and the goods must be in new and unused, mint condition. The Customer must return them by recorded delivery with adequate packing and insurance cover within 14 working days of receipt so that 5M can provide the refund. Upon satisfactory and timely receipt 5M will credit the Customer's credit card (or otherwise refund) the total amount of the order, excluding the relevant post and packing costs.
In addition goods will be accepted for for return within 28 days of receipt by the Customer if:
- the wrong goods are sent to the Customer, in which case upon the return of such goods to 5M or the supplier, 5M will (at its option) refund the price to the Customer (including our initial postage costs) or send you the correct goods;
- the goods were found to be damaged on receipt in which case upon return of such goods to 5M or the supplier, 5M will (at its option) either replace the goods or give the Customer a full refund. The refund will extend to postage costs upon a successful claim against the delivery company for damage during shipment.
- Provided the above conditions are met 5M will refund the cost of all such returns provided the goods are returned by registered post or tracked delivery. The goods which the Customer returns remain the Customers property, and at your risk, until 5M or the supplier has received them. Please allow 14 days (in addition to delivery time) for 5M to process the return or refund. Please allow 28 days (in addition to delivery time) for an overseas order. Refunds will be given in the same tender type as the original payment. Return of goods is at your own expense.
